“The truth is out there” is a catch phrase made popular from the 90’s television program the X-Files. Unfortunately that catch phrase has turned into a purpose when it comes to finding out the news that is really happening in the world today. No longer can we assume that a news organization will present the facts and report on events. All too often news is either presented with a slant to serve an agenda or simply not reported on at all to present an incomplete picture as complete.

Live and Local ENC was created to address these issues. Our goal is to find and present news that the networks, major newspapers and websites are not. We search for perspectives and experiences that broadcasters may avoid. We want to give you critical and crucial news and perspectives you haven’t heard or seen before. Our purpose is to complete the picture.

The picture is completed with you. That is why at the end of every article, audio, video we post is a space provided for you to post your thoughts, opinions and insights. News doesn’t just happen. It’ gets commented on. This give life and perspective to the issue at hand.

Live and Local eastern North Carolina. The truth is out there.

TV and film, all things saltwater, real estate broker and ordained minister. Yep-in 12 words or less that pretty much sums up my career! Oops, wait a minute. I forgot publicist, writer and marketing director. OK-16 words and…..Oh yeah, I forgot stage performer, television host and B-movie actor.

Alright, let me add all of those words up and we get……..23 words! There! Who’d a thought I could list out all the different, hold on! Radio producer and host! OK, this is getting silly. Let’s see if I can simply this.

I left home as a teenager. I’m currently 53 years old and have done a lot stuff in-between the two ages. I’m a son of an immigrant (England) and married to an immigrant (Poland). I have two beautiful daughters and one big brown mutt dog named Bonzo. I also like long walks on the beach and people who make me laugh and, huh…. wait a minute – wrong web site!

All kidding aside, co-hosting and producing “Live and Local” is a great job. It allows me to draw from all of my past experiences. And if you really just gotta’ know the specific details about my past then visit my personal website at www.BillHitchcock.org .

Now how could I forget fisheries advocate, Sunday school teacher, internet entrepreneur…..
